Many women arrive at menopause care not asking for a cure but for permission to take their symptoms seriously.
They’ve been told it’s “just part of ageing”. That they should cope better. That everyone goes through it. And yet, they feel unlike themselves: emotionally flatter, more anxious, exhausted despite sleeping, less resilient at work and at home.
While menopause is a normal life stage, suffering is not a requirement.
There are options: hormonal and non-hormonal, medical and lifestyle-based. For some women, small adjustments make a big difference. For others, HRT is life-changing. The goal is not to chase perfection, but to restore function and wellbeing.
If symptoms are interfering with your sleep, mental health, work or relationships, they deserve proper assessment. Menopause care should not be about “putting up with it”, but about supporting women through a biological transition that can be genuinely disruptive for some.
